Multi-agent Organization Approach to Electronic Business Automation

This paper presents a novel approach to organization automation issues based on structured multi-agent systems called Multi-Agent Organizations (MAO). The main goal is to provide human organizations with a distributed information system which supports human’s decision taking all over the organization as well as facilitates the coordination and cooperation along the processes workgroups and individual tasks taking place in the organization. Based on Augmented Transition Network (ATN) as the main knowledge representation formalism, the proposed system should: 1) generate performance information of different actors, 2) manage agents’ daily operation, and 3) help humans to achieve necessary changes in the organization.
